Uromastyx

Due to supplier problems we haven't gotten an uromastyx yet, but when we do, photos will go in here.

31 May 2009 - Update! We should have our CITES-certified U. Ocellatus by the middle of June, around 6 months in age. Stay tuned for more!

An uromastyx terrarium I built over the course of several weeks. It's a wooden box measuring 146cm x 55cm x 60cm on the outside (LxWxH), made of 1.8mm melamine with decorative oak panelling on the front and glass sliding doors for front access. The internal structures are made out of carved polystyrene foam blocks, painted with tile grout and sealant mixed with sand, to look like rocks. This will all be covered in newspaper for the first couple of years though, until the lizard is old enough. See the pictures for more details.
